New water. The cut and painted 2'x4' rafts are on the side. It seems that the Dow Square Edge now only comes in 2'x8' sections. Correct me if I'm wrong. Easier handling anyway. This is basically the "Friendly" Micro 128 with a 32' trough and 300 gallon tank. Copied the "Friendly" color coordination just because Patty liked it.

Just used straight rough cut lumber and hardware. 3' metal stakes every 8' are the only support for the 2"x4" frame. The sides are only 1/4" plywood to protect the liner, not for support. The liner is the 6' wide DuraSkrim 20mil LDPE from Raven Industries stapled at the top of the 2"x4" frame to form a (cross sectional) parabola which distributes the water pressure down to the ground, not out to the sides. I just followed Friendly Aquaponics' design plans. Of course, the picture hides a lot of defects, but it is functional.
Larry... please explain the construction a bit more. This is a beautiful build, but I too am curious what you did to make it so straight and clean. What materials did you use? Ah to live where it doesn't frost or freeze.
Hi Larry,
Love your trough construction!. How do you get the sides to keep from bellying as i don't see any visible side supports?
