well the grow beds fill in 6 minuets and drain in another 6. That is actually just a overflow pipe. The first grow bed fills first even with valve adjustments so I had to have this here so the other beds have a chance to fill without the first bed overflowing. So the way it runs is such: Timer comes on (on the hour) and in three minuets the overflow pipe begins to overflow. the next three minuets bring the water level up in all of the other beds, then the timer shuts off and the beds drain out. This ends around the 12 min. mark and the beds get around 18 minuets to dry out until the next cycle on the half hour.

question: Adam how long it takes for your grow bed to fill and how fast it drains. i also notice u have 1 bell siphon for 6 grow beds how does that work ?
