Bad news after being gone a few weeks to attend the Aquaponics Association conference, I returned to my taro covered in aphids. Good news, I took a sample to the Maui College of Tropical Agriculture and Human Resources (CTARH) and Lorraine confirmed they were aphids, but that the parasitic wasps had already begun invading. So if I do a little trimming, feed the fish the leaves and knock back the ants so they don't keep herding the aphids like cattle, it should be under control, thanks to the natural biological control.
