Dominant male over a submissive, non-breeding female. Dominant fish will lose their stripes and sometimes turn white to show their power. Males also turn white during breeding, but get a black trim to the fin. Females turn grey, and sometimes white during breeding. Their darker fin coloring isn't usually as distinct as the males'.
