I compost everything I cannot feed to my chickens. The tomatoes go to the general compost pile. I do not feed tomato plants or roots to the worms because the plants are poisonous. The roots will actually kill off other plants that come into contact with them.

Tomatoes make lots of roots. The root mass is similar to the top mass.
