Once again thanks Rob. Maybe one day I will make it to Austin TX. I currently live in the Turks and Caicos Islands so it would be a bit of a journey.

Mathew ,,

we use a perforated standpipe with four 1/4" holes in the bottom and a cycle timer.

if you can make it to one of my classes, i can show you how its done...

or buy the How-To handout, and parts kit.. and you will be on your way with out guessing.

Sorry to always bombard you with questions but I am very interested in your builds and potentially using indexing valves to eliminate a sump tank. Do you use syphons or just constant drain? What sort of timer do you use?

Thanks

how do your drains work with the tank so far away from the other beds?

no sump.. i use an index valve to fill one bed at a time... because there is always water returning from the growbeds.. the draw down in the fish tank is only about 2"

Very nice. All 4 beds are fed by that 1 tank? Is there a sump?
