I have a 2500 gallon water garden with several dozen goldfish. I pump the water into a PVC 'T' into the bottom of the 100 Gallon Rubbermaid tote. I cut up a bunch of sponges into 2" chunks and put a plastic grid on top of the sponges. This grid is used to cover florescent lights of a drop ceiling.
