The solar heater is a black plastic 4 x 12 mat made for pool solar heat. I turn it on manually in the morning and off in the evening. the water is 77 in the morning and 82 in the evening. 2 275 gal tanks 5 grow beds 1 sump. 1000 gal.

Air lift pump uses a 60 watt linear 2 psi air pump and a 20 watt fountain pump injecting air 1' above the water line. pipe is submerged in 2 ft of water using Ben and Glen Aquazen design.

That is a very interesting setup you have! You say that the air lift pump runs the water to the roof where a solar hot water collector is located. How do you control the tempature in the tank? It seems like there would have to be one temp probe that called for heat and one that would turn the heater off if the return water was colder that the tank water. Tell me more about your system
