Wes This is granite.  I tried the washed river rock but it was full of limestone and so caused the ph to go up.  The granite will bring it back down.

I am using 300 gal of granite with about 800 gal of water.

Your plants will tell you their needs. If they stretch they don't have enough light. I will be interested to see. Keep us updated with new pics. What kind of filtration are you using?

Great looking system. You may need much more lighting for all those plants.
