massive grubs from some bags of soil that had sat for a while. glad i found them before putting the soil in the wicking beds.

I THINK those are grubs from the large moth.  Not sure bit that is my guess.  I had some in one of my outdoor beds.

BTW  they are good to eat.  lol

My understanding is they are June bugs. I thought they were cicada

What kind of bug do they eventually turn into?  I bet it could cause a lot of problems with your crops.
