ME BAD!  Wondering why the the cucumbers, squash (2 kinds), and tomatoes leaves were either yellowing or turning brown and dying I went to re-reading the Aquaponic Gardening by Silvia Berstein and she recommended that those plants not be grown until the system was more balanced 3 to 6 months down the road. Their is fruit started on the skinny cucumbers but I am not sure it will mature. There is no new fruit on the tomatoes. I also have my pump elevated off the bottom of the tub on a brick but the filter has to be cleaned every two days to work effectively.  The on board circulation pump that I use for aeration by the falling water method gets it water supply from a inlet in the bottom of the tub which will plug up if not cleaned every day
