The main fish tank is about 20" higher than the grow beds to allow for any additions later such as filters or indexing valves, however hope not to use any  of these, rather adjusting the timing of the syphon valves as needed. There is very much discussion of the grow beds acting as a filter, which is what I'm willing to go with for a start, as I like the organics of it, possibly put a miniature banana plant where it first enters. What kind of filtering system will you be using, if any? I mean, is there going to be a nitrification or biofilter and/or clarifier involved? I am also planning to start a new backyard aquaponic system in Indonesia, and I am trying to learn everything I can. Thank you and any input will be appreciated.

Now back in the frozen North called Canada, however did some prep for the return later this year!
