I used a 4" to 2" PVC reducer, put a holy 2" pipe in one end capped to stop water. Loosely sitting inside the reducer is another 2" pipe surrounded with air filter fiberglass media to keep it centered. The inside pipe is shorter than the holy 4" pipe. There is some foam sheet inside the 2" pipe and 4" cap to further absorb sound. It works really well.
