Each T5 fluorescent light is 54Watts and they run for like $35 for a 4' fixture.  2 for a 2'x4' area is the absolute minimum (thats what i have)  Id like to bump it up to 3 or 4 per 2'x4' area.

What's the price range for that many lights? Also, how much wattage use is each strip? This kind of rack looks like it works great.  I was tying different good seed starting methods.  This looks like it. I have also seen people use this style outside with a hummidity cover and no lights.
