BTW here is a quick story. 

I had clipped a couple peppers from a jalapeño plant (earth bound) at around dusk. it plant was really healthy and looked great. I did a couple other things around my garden and approx and hour later notice that the entire plant was bare of all leaves and new soft stems. A juvenile worm can strip a plant by itself very quickly.
