I thought I killed every bit of the duckweed I introduced, I couldn't get it to grow anywhere in my system or separated from it.  Then I added a new tank, which I had intended to make a DWC bed.  I noticed a few pieces of duckweed had survived and made its way into the tank, so I waited on adding the raft.  Now I harvest about a cup a day out of this tank!  Primarily I feed it to my chickens, they like it more than their grain feed.  I figure the feed supplement for my chickens is as good as any thing I could grow in this small of a DWC.
