I am growing tilapia.  I can fit a net though the opening but if I want a fish to eat, I prefer to give my kid a fishing pole and some frozen peas to put on the hook to give them a chance.

Getting the fish out ever?  Or in the event that something underneath your plant box breaks?  Perhaps I do not understand what you are growing beneath it.
