Thanks Chris, I thought the PH would high be to high. I have heard about epoxy painting or non toxic pool paint. Somewhere I'd read about the paraffin, maybe one of your posts.  Any recommendations on the acid wash you used?  FC tanks work well for you?

I built  ferrocement tanks as well. Once I had it in service I began having HIGH pH problems that required daily addition of acid to keep the pH in the plants range. I eventually drained the whole system and coated the concrete with a couple coats of paraffin. Since then the system has been growing well.

I highly recommend that you acid wash to help neutralize the pH and then coat to prevent any leaching!!
