Well, only one thing left to do. The tomato plants will have reached the highest they can go in the next day or two so it's time to go horizontal. I was having to raise the lights nearly every day anyway. I figure since they're vines, I can train them to just follow the gridwall I installed around the basement wall tying them in place with strips of panty hose here and there. There's a good 25 ft. or more basement wall to work with. I'll be amazed if they grow to that length, but I know they get much longer than that in hydroponic greenhouses. We'll just have to wait and see. This allows for more room for the giant dwarf tomatoes I planted in others place. I moved them from the raft system where they were getting too crowded. The roots that were hanging in the water were 30" long. The plants themselves dont get much taller than 24".
