I have changed it since that picture.

I took an IBC and cutout a sump and FT so I now have a 50 gallon sump and 200 gallon FT with large goldfish. I gravity feed the water from the FT though a barrel filter to remove as many solids as possible. and then spill into the DWC. The rafts sit on a PVC frame making them stationary. I setup my DWC as a fill and drain, but I only drain about 3 inches and then break the siphon. This exposes a few inches of roots to the air.

It took some doing and I copied a design from others members but it works great and I had a very good crop of greens this winter.

You can never have enough air so when you think you have enough ADD MORE. I am now in the process of adding air stone under the rafts also.

Hi Dan,could you detail  your raft system for me,i added 1/2 barrel above sump slash fish tank to help aerate gold fish.Would the running supply water be enough aeration for the root system being it always runs? The supply water falls in at about 4 inches..I posted the add on If you could take a peek .Thanks.
