 if it werent for the spots he would be a tilapia hands down. except he will pound down a goldfish like a redneck vs a bud lite. i have also cought him with the tails of fish 1/5 his size sticking out of his mouth. however the others dont avoid him.

My thought was maybe a rock bass/white bass hybrid, my next thought was maybe a white crappie https://www.google.com/search?q=white+crappie&hl=en&client=....

But, I think you are way too far south for either of those to grow well, so I am out of ideas.

anyone know what kind of fish this is? hes about 9 inches. the spots throw me off.
