OK...how can so many people sell to me?   SO change that..I need to trade those fish...

Comment by TCLynx on August 23, 2012 at 6:08pm

Gwen, I recommend you call it a trade since if you sell fish in FL you technically should have an aquaculture permit to be legal.

I have a mess of Blue Tilapia  that are 6 to 8 inches long.  I am in central FL.  Cocoa area.  Anyone local needing breeding colonies? They are breeding.   They are cheap.  1 male 5 females for $85.  I would be willing to trade for IBCs and smaller pools...

I'm looking for a pallet or two of expanded shale for the starting of our new aquaponics system. having a heck of a time finding it locally. As far away as the Denver area down to ABQ, NM. Let me know what you have! Thanks!!

For plumbing through the side of a fish tank, you should search for either Bulkhead fittings or uniseal fittings.

Bulkhead fittings usually need a flat spot to plumb though while uniseals work fine in round tanks as long as you don't drill through where there is a ridge or corner or molding.

You will probably need to get a hole saw the right size to make a hole the proper size for whatever type fitting you get.  Uniseals are inexpensive and sized to work with standard PVC pipe so you can simply cut the hole, insert the uniseal and push a bit of pipe through the tank and then hook it up using readily available PVC fittings to where ever you need.

Bulkheads come in all sorts of configurations like ones where you thread in the PVC fittings or others are slip fittings.

Anyone have any Tilapia they are looking to give away in the Orlando, Florida area. I have a system that I adopted the system is very lightly stock at the moment. Looking to add more fish.

Hydroponics Curacao,   Are you wanting to buy a fish tank?  You may have an easier time searching for a fish tank than for a fish pond to buy.

Plastic stock tanks work as fish tanks for aquaponics, you might check at farm and feed stores.  If those are hard to find where you live, you might see about getting some pond liner and making your own pond.
