I am a visiting professor at the University of Arizona form the Philippines. I am conducting a research on three types of vegetables using Tilapia-Macrobrachium polyculture.
Back in the Philippines, I am a professor teaching sustainable agriculture (greenhouse, pressurized irrigation, hydroponics and aquaponics) and I am here in U of A as a grantee of the Fulbright scolarship.

Chito, it sounds like your parameters are fine, so I would look to your system set-up for the origins of the problem. Things like stocking density, fish tank to grow bed ratios. grow bed depth. Please read through the Aquaponic Gardening Rules of Thumb document that I created with Dr. Wilson Lennard here - http://aquaponicscommunity.com/page/aquaponic-gardening-rules-of - and see how close you come to these recommendations. I"m betting the answer lies in there somewhere.
