Jake, the smaller glass tanks are 30 gal drilled commercial units that I bought used from a breeder that went out of business for 15 bucks apiece. The larger tanks are a 150 gal, 2 - 55 gal, and a 90 gal, all donated by friends and family. I then bought a diamond drill from eBay and drilled them all for 1 1/2" overflows. Steve.
I have them made for me. We have a master mold and as I sell systems I can order more. My company is Pacific Aquaponics. www.pacificaquaponics.net
I know that some people make them out of wood and then lay up the fiberglass. It's heavier than a fiberglass only tank but they are very strong. Two good books are Composite Materials by John Wanberg and his follow up book Composite Materials #2
Probably the two best books out there. Hope that helps. Feel free to contact me anytime. Maybe our system will work for you.
