I am working on a graduate research effort with JHU to integrate vertical farming with aquaculture in a building downtown. I'd like insight, recommendations, and more!
Please tell us something else about yourself.
My car runs on WVO that I also hope to use in powering my "green" house of vertical aquaponic gardens! You are welcome to see photos at my Facebook account: Michael S Uhl. Just tell me what you're interested in.

    Hi Michael,

    You are our 300th member!

Thanks for joining the Aquaponic Gardening community! I hope you find it a fun place to explore aquaponics. There is a real blend of experienced and new aquapons in this community, so please don’t hesitate to get in there and start asking questions. Everyone is quite happy to help out new members – no question is too basic.

A great place to start is to read the How to Use This Site link on the upper right corner, “Start Here” section of the Main page.

    Please participate!

Thanks again for joining us, and I look forward to getting to know you.

There is quite a lot that I would like to accomplish with this project, but I do have a very limited timeline.

I am an Industrial Design student at the University of Kansas in Lawrence. This is meant to be a semester long project but depending on the success/interest it could possibly be pushed forward into the spring semester. As an Industrial Design student, I will say I am a little bit outside of my element with this project (having no agricultural experience), but I love the idea of creating something of value vs an expendable product that will end up in a landfill. I am still in the planning/research phase at the moment so the scope of what actually gets accomplished is still up in the air.

I would completely be on board for collaborative efforts, however!
