Hello All - I am Phil Slaton from Poulsbo, Washington USA.  I use rainwater harvesting to provide water to my IBC tanks and 1300 gallon grow-out tanks.  Also I have a rainwater fed pond for catfish breeding that is totally filled by rainwater fall and runoff from the collection system on my property.  All rainwater that falls on my roofs, sod grass areas and driveways is collected both on the surface through bio-swales and 12’’ underground piping and diverted to the catfish pond. 

I also catch a good amount off the roofs into 275 gallon IBC and store it in a 2500 gallon above ground roto molded tank and 12-275 gallon IBCs.  I replace 10% of the water in my grow out tanks weekly.  I also sell filtered rainwater to Aquaponics growers.  The pond supplies ‘’cycle’’ water for new Aquaponics systems.

I have just finished ''re-plumbing'' the underground runoff to pond system that will allow for me to double the size of the pond both in depth and surface area. Not a drop of rainwater that I can catch runs off my property. 

When I get that catchment complete I am building another green house that will house 8-1300 gallon grow out tanks.  The water for the tanks will pumped from the pond and returned by gravity to the pond - no filtration, just let the pond do its thing.  The catfish in the pond are supported by aeration and automatic feeders.

I also sell 275 gallon IBC catch systems complete with gutter down spout pud collar, collar to tank filler hose and a faucet conversion to the lower swing valve.  I also sell Aquaponics IBC fish and vegetable tanks patterned on the Australian design http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WYFM7J_TpTU to folks that do not have the time or tools to build the IBC tanks them themselves.  I sell complete systems or the pieces.
