I built a greenhouse today for 1 of my tote gardens, 65" long by 52" wide and 48" long out of 1.25" PVC house shaped using 90 degree elbow as the apex of the roof, into 24" straight pipe, into 45 degree elbows down to 24" straight pipe to tee fittings connecting the bottom, and an extra section outside of the green house to make removing it a breeze.. Then my Dumbass ate one of mt habaneros that just turned orange.. Bad idea

well I must admit, loving the rain, not to mention that the rain has topped up my sump tank nicely ;-)

Roots do not grow down because of gravity.

Silly experiment... look at the upside down tomato baskets that are sold for the same answer.  I wonder how much they spent on this experiment.  But isn't it great to get total confirmation?

Sorry for the re-post but I hate misspelled words

@Sheri

Krikey! Those be some big fish!

@Matt

Your beds should do fine. Mine have been holding up since March fairly well and that was through the Monsoon season (they're also not painted).

Biggest issue that me and a friend are dealing with is the cooling of the water during the nights. My friend John's got himself a DIY solar water heater *envy*. While I myself am making do with a coupla large aquarium heaters.

Gonna get my greenhouse film up this weekend hopefully, see if that can't help insulate things a bit better and get the temps back up again.

I hope everyone is prepared for the rain.  I'm going to see if my growbed can withstand rain ( I hope I painted it enough)

Bob, you're so right. The texture and flavor are SO much better than store-bought!

Today's catch. We pulled out four to make room for smaller ones. We need to pull another 10 or so to get things in better balance.

This it the biggest of the four. 3 lbs 2 oz, 16 3/4", and 1 lb of filet.

I ate my first home grown Tilapia this morning.  I weighed 16 oz whole and the filets weighed 7oz.  It's been many years since I fileted a fish, but it went very well.   I cooked it in oil and only used a little salt.   It seemed to be much softer and more tender than store bought, very similar to Dover Sole.    .
