Aquaponic Gardening

A Community and Forum For Aquaponic Gardeners

I'm not the first to try Duck-A-Ponics.  It was done long ago by some BYAPERs
I don't personally recommend it for growing salad crops for people to eat but it definitely saves on water changes for the duck pond and keeps the duck areas smelling much better.  Now if I can just keep the ducks from killing off (by eating) all their duck system plants, I'll be all set!

I intend to outline the duck system and share pictures here as I find the time.

We have Muscovy ducks which are rather quiet since they don't quack.  The big drake sounds like he has laryngitis and the females are rather quiet unless they have babies, in which case they will squeek at you.  The babies peep (and that can get loud when there are 15-20 of them.)  They are much quieter than the chickens though.
