In January 2012, IDEAS For Us partnered with a local urban Aquaponics company — Sahib Aquaponics — to provide educational tours and professional training programs for students and community members.

Aquaponics is the joint cultivation of fish and plants in a man-made re-circulating ecosystem that allows sustainable natural food growing without the use of harmful pesticides or chemical fertilizers. The goal in these workshops is to empower people of all ages to grow their own food naturally, right in your own garden.

IDEAS FOR US is a 501©(3) non-profit organization that provides consulting services and directing to a network of sustainability leaders and green professionals across the Nation and around the World. We offer professional training courses, resource development and peer-to-peer mentorship programs to nurture the talents of leaders to drive local solutions and implement sustainability initiatives focusing on Energy, Water, Waste, Food and Ecological systems around the World. 



IDEAS For US acts as the guiding body for an International sustainability movement called IDEAS (intellectual Decisions on Environmental Awareness Solutions). The movement is a network of campus and community organizations, youth leaders and green professionals working to solve the integrated Energy, Environmental and Economic challenges facing communities around the World. IDEAS FOR US help to incubate new ideas and initiatives; build partnerships and connections; nurture youth leaders; and develop new chapters to expand the movement and our positive environmental impacts across communities around the World.
