Sandie

As of the last time I checked Tilapia are banned in Montana. Any other fish brought in from out of state require a permit from the Game Fish & Parks and need to come from an approved source. I purchased channel cats form Pleasant Valley Fish Farm of McCook, NB. I had to go to Sheridan, Wy to pick them up as they did not come to Billings that year.

FYI for Montana aquaponoics – tilapia are prohibited in Montana as of

July 2012 – any fish brought into the state require a permit from the Game Fish & Parks  and need to come from an approved source.
