Hi all,

I am glad that I found this group where we will probably have a similar focus . I recently started the process of cycling my small commercial system here in Belize, just about 2 weeks ago so I am still pretty much a newbie to the commercial side of things. I look forward to sharing photos in a week or so and enjoy sharing and learning together in this group.

Hi Guys,

I thought I'd post that if anyone here is seriously considering a commercial AP operation to give me a call.  We have some new equipment and pricing on tower systems.

Looks like it's a platform that anyone could use to set up an internet farmers market on just about any scale.

Here is a site that is doing something sort of similar here in Orlando and it is part of LocallyGrown.net so I expect there are a bunch of these popping up around the country.

Hi Marion,  My company produces Expanded Shale in bulk and sells it through www.TheAquaponicSource.com.  For additional info, you can go to www.ExpandedShale.com.  Thanks!

to buy cheap and in bulk, contact the manufacturer.  Now Hydroton is probably not really cheap even at wholesale prices though.  If you don't need it to be the perfect round clay balls, you might look into some of the other expanded clay.  (I'm a little sketchy on the stuff from China though)  There is some that comes from South America that is more irregular, I think Cosmo found a source of this through some Orchid Growers so you might contact Orchid growers and see what they use and who their sources are.
