Hey Neighbors, Franklin and I are going to be making a run to the gator farm for Tilapia this week. Just wanted to see if anyone wants us to pick up extras and save a trip.

You are in luck, Ken. I think that is a large part of what we are going to do at the Gathering on Aug 13!

Moving to Aurora, Colorado in July. Plan on starting my first aquaponics project in 2011. Would love to research the topic and see other people's setups to figure how to do it myself as well.

We've had good luck with these IBC containers at American Container located at I-70 and Pecos. Call Shawn at 720-621-3346. We're using one for our backyard system that we cut the top 12" off of. A drawing of the overall system can be found on our website at www.coloradoaquaponics.com. We are stocking the remaining 175 gallon tank with 40 perch this week. The are very convenient, lightweight and easy to plumb out.

Hi Bill,

I've seen this type of IBC set up before and it makes a lot of sense. It's really a higher capacity barrelponics system. I was actually giving a talk this morning at a local permaculture center here that I've help set up their aquaponic system using an IBC tank and it works really well.

What do you all think of the IBC set up here? seems like you could cut the IBC to fit for fish and 12 inch deep grow beds. Feedback please

Has anyone found 12 inch beds yet here in Boulder area?
