Nice the way you sunk the tubs
I am in seattle so want to hook up with anyone in Wa to learn and share. Just building a basement system with a 300 gal fish tank and small grow beds over it. My tank was a koi tank I built several years ago. I want catfish and perch but had also thought about crayfish. Anyone know where to get we native crayfish?

I'm also planning a larger outdoor system which I'll bUild when I have a bit of experience

I don't think we have a native crayfish; I think they're east of the divide. Catfish should work around here, I've been looking at it for a while. I think I settled on trout, though.

Eric, Thanks, let me know if you find a good source for trout or other fishes. Michael

Welcome Mike,

I am a member of the NW Aquaponics group here on the boards, and we have actual meetings once a month. Pretty casual, lots of questions and some seriously good answers. Next month [Sept. 2012] we will be meeting on the last Sunday afternoon (I think). Please make an effort to come, we would like to meet you, learn from what you know, while you learn from us as well.

In any case, feel free to ask questions on that group as well. BTW no catfish in the system yet, taking longer to build than I thought.
