Alage bloom while cycling system

Alage bloom while cycling, well i didn't like the thought of using bleach or draining ft and re- starting so I painted the ft & made a strainer out of a 5 gal paint straining bag with cheese cloth layered inside of bag. placed that in swirl filter @ drain holes where swirl filter dumps into bio filter & washed cheese cloth every day, in 2 days clear water back to cycling !! saved 350 gal water, now to remove alage from the other 275 gal fish tank, than complete system
