It's the strongest way to control people, control the food.  Fear may be the easiest way to control people but it only works for so long and then it can start to wear off.  Food though, that control gets stronger with time as people get hungrier.

 

Of course WI is a state with a strong Milk lobby from the big producers and I guess they want to make sure most people keep buying the big industrial ultra pasteurized stuff instead of perhaps milking their own cow or something like that.

I wonder if there is a Food Security Association (Food, by the people, For the People), I want to join THAT effort!!   I am certainly close enough to Tallahassee to get in someone’s face on the Florida front!! 

Believe me, I am disenchanted with the current political system, but it is what we have to work with.  Ever see the movie 'Casino Jack', about super lobbyist Jack Abramoff, http://casinojack-movie.com/  Unbelievable.  Makes me want to stay as far away from politics and politicians as possible, but unfortunately we often must go through these kinds of people to make a difference. Uggghhhhh!

I occasionally attend County Commission meetings to stay in the loop of what is being decided ‘in my name, or on my behalf’. And, lol, yes I actually watch C-Span when they are voting on bills that are important to me.  I lecture my adult kids to PAY ATTENTION to what is going on.  We are being herded into governmental dependencies that will eventually make us all vulnerable and unable to stand up for ourselves. 

I believe our US Declaration of Independence says it best:. 

‘We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable rights, that among these are life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. That to secure these rights, governments are instituted among men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed.

Since FOOD is one of the 3 things you need to sustain LIFE, I believe we have a leg to stand on!!

It's not a new problem, special interests hijacking our government to promote their interests, all to often at the expense of the greater good, but, it's now reached critical mass conditions.

We are being assaulted on every front, in every way imaginable, and it's going to get far worse faster that you  can imagine.

Earlier this year, the Supreme Court ruled that Corporations, foreign or otherwise, can contribute as much money as they want to campaigns, and not report the contributions.

We now have the Fox in charge of the hen house.

FWIW, the Federal Reserve Bank, is NOT government, it's a private corporation.

Yes but it's run by the government. It was created by the government in 1913 to regulate monies and such.The federal reserves relationship to the government is like c-span or the public broadcasting corporation--NPR and PBS. Your point however is still valid.
