When I was cycling my system I had a devil of a time trying to find Amonia. I eventually got the system cycled but there was a lot of trial/error/hassle. In the process I think I visited 10 hardware stores and looked at the ingredients of (guessing) four zillion bottles of cleaning fluid...
Yesterday, I was digging around in the basement and stumbled upon a bunch of Tie Dye stuff that I had laying around and, there it was, a big bag of Urea. In tie dye you use this stuff to prep cotton before you dye the stuff. Urea turns into Amonia. So, not only did I have Urea/Amonia sitting right here in my basement BUT all I'd want if I went to a CRAFT STORE where they sell Tie Dye stuff (and there's one less than a mile from my house).
