Unfortunately perhaps and perhaps not, for the sake or native species producers, Georgia State Laws are NOT friendly to Tilapia farmers. While it isn't illegal to purchase and raise and even sell as a hobby so long as there's no risk to the state waterway, A state license and possibly liability insurance IS required to sell if all risks are not satisfactory. I suspect this is an issue that many are up against when trying to locate sellers of Tilapia fry and fingerlings everywhere.
