Testing KH

Hello Everyone,

Just a quick question. I was testing the water hardness (KH)  in my system. I am using an API Test Kit. The directions say take a water sample. Put a drop of solution into sample. Water should turn blue. Keep adding solution drop by drop until the water sample turns yellow.

My water sample is yellow right off the bat. Does this mean I have Zero Carbonates? I find that hard to believe. I guess it is possible. Its a 300 Gallon fish tank, 150 Gallon sump tank, 2 - 3X6X1 grow beds.

it means your KH is WAY to low yes.
