At least with food grade, you are not worried about some strange chemical (while considered generally harmless in a product not meant for human consumption) might manage to leach into your food supply.

Some food grade totes might also not be so great for use if they contained something oily or soapy that might be pretty crazy to manage to wash out completely without leaving dangerous to fish oil or soap residues.

I think I picked up a few of those same totes possibly from the same company in Glendale. These contained ORGAL PST 65 which is STYRENE ACRYLIC COPOLYMER EMULSION and according to the MSDS there's no carcinogens or hazardous ingredients. When it dries it peels off very easily on the other hand some parts are not dry and is proving to be difficult to remove. I am trying to research the best way to remove it.

Even if it peels out you must still wash them. I got 3 "free" totes and then spend about $35 to clean all three at the car wash.Get the name of the glue and then google the name to Get an Material Safety Data Sheet on the chemical to find out just how bad the product is.

WOW!!!I found food grade totes for $25 apiece at a dairy equipment supply store if I bought 4 or $35 each. Try looking in the phone book for dairy supply or dairy equipment supply. It may be different where you are, I live in Wisconsin. It's worth a try and I hope this helps. At any rate buy food grade, no herbicides or pesticides you will regret buying those.
