Stuff floating around in fish tank?
I'm wondering if anyone might be able to tell me what some stuff floating around in my fishtank might be. This morning when I fed my fish was the first time I saw it. It's a somewhat clear and bubbly substance and can be seen in the image below. I'm wondering if I need to take it out or if its safe to leave it in there. The tank is very well covered, so I don't think anything got in, my suspicion is that it's from the fish. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

My fish tank that houses my tilapia has the same thing. maybe it's tilapia fish slime.

Mahalo for your reply Kobus. There is aeration in the other end of the tank that is more difficult to see on this side of the tank. The blue bar you see in the photo provides the aeration and the bubbles are visible on the other end of the tank. if you take a look at my aquaponics system CLICK HERE, you'll notice that my growbed sits on the fish tank (I'm using a cooler for a fishtank). The view inside of the fish tank is limited to the area covered by the blue styrofoam that sits on the cooler in front of the grow bed.
This is the first time I had this show-up in my system, but my system is barely a month old.

Perhaps a glob of bacteria that got dislodged from a pipe? That or something is irritating the mucus layer of your fish. Never had this with my tilapia to this point. Does this show up often?

It's been like that for 2 weeks. The tilapia have been feeding more aggressively and have been rubbing against each other more. Not sure if that has anything to do with it but I noticed it when they started doing that.
