Starting a floating raft system with billboard tarp, would love suggestions on best way to build.

Building my first floating raft system, what size net pot do you recommend?      2 inch 3 inch ?

Was about to by some on Ebay / Amazon.

Thanks!

Don't buy from amazon! They cost me $8 for five 25cent net cups! Also at cabbage hill farms they said that it is easier if you don't have net cups and instead start seeds in a medium, like rock-wool, then plug them in the holes.

+1 start them in a media that you can remove easily or wash off. Transfer them directly to the rafts after they have grown a bit. Just have holes cut into your rafts so the lettuce will stay in. You will have different sized holes for when the lettuce grows larger. I think the starting hole is 1" and the finished hole is 3-4" depending on variety.

If you are planning a DWC try and go for 30cm water depth. Also if you want to produce just lettuce try and insulate your system from the sun as best you can. Lettuce prefers cooler temperatures then most vegetable crops. Also if you can get a extra air pump for your DWC beds, it makes the roots much healthier.
