small scale deep water cultures.

For a deep water culture i was planning on using a small fish tank with few fish and have a screen between the fish and the plants on top of the tank. My question is, will the plants drown and if so how should i have the plants set up?

Plants do need an oxygen supply for their roots, with proper aeration of the fish tank you should be fine.
