The rosemary plants in my growbeds have mostly whiteish leaves (new shoots are green, turn whitish with small black spots over time).  Other plants - mint, oregano, basil all healthy.  I tried adding iron supplement, but that does not appear to be problem.  I suspect insects or mites or maybe fungus.  Any suggestions appreciated.  Bill

I'm gonna vote thrips, but it could be spider mites. Get a magnifying glass or a microscope and take a really close look at what's going on. Thrip larvae are long bodied insects while spider mites are much rounder in shape. Products with spinosad work great for thrips. I don't currently have a satisfactory method for treating spider mites other than ordering up some predatory mites (p. persimilis works the fastest).
