Rat-tailed maggots for talapia food?

Hey everyone!!

So while attempting to make some kelp tea, a whole bunch of maggots have hatched and are swimming around...they are pretty ugly looking critters!! http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rat-tailed_maggot

Just wondering if anyone has used these or any similar maggots to feed their fish?? Don't want to upset my talapia but they might also be a great treat!

can't hurt to try.. i've seen mine eating scuds, minnows and small crayfish

Okay, didn't need to know those existed. Go ahead and feed them to your fish.
