Hey I was thinking since prawns are territorial and I need more area for bateria to grow I could make window screen/PVC dividers in the raft tank. I am not sure what the formula would be for knowing how many more fish I could add?

You could pick up some cheap plastic kids pools and have each of your black beds filter the water with gravel into them, for about 40 bucks you could double your growing power. My system is along these lines.I personally think for the hobbyist grower rafts are overrated. Gravel is much more forgiving and you can grow alot more variety. You will get a ear full here and no system is better than the next just some are easier for the newbie. If you use affnan siphons you dont necessarily need a sump.

Great that is part of what I was wondering . What the potential for that size FT could be thanks

Harold Sukhbir said:

Hi Jane,

Since your Ft will be 275 gal, you can start with this model and later on expand the beds in proportion to the fish as you go. At 275 gal FT you can eventually carry up to 55 One pound fish!

ok well that all makes sense .... I was wanting to grow alot more fish but I see I will need more media for bacteria to be able to do that.
