<p>Wow, I mussed your question, Maynhia. Sorry! A parabolic oven looks like a round microwave dish. It opens up like a fan, spreading out into a circle. You put your dish in the middle, and it directs the heat evenly around the food. It's not enclosed...it's more like a stove, I guess, but you can cook use a dutch oven with it & cook pretty much anything. My recipe is as follows: water, dried beans (any kind), ham boullion or soup base...Comes out great every time....even for 20 year old pinto beans....be sure to start before noon so it has time to cook. Of course, anything you cook in an oven will work too, but I usually cook beans to remind myself I can...and to have low cal, high fiber food…</p>
