Ph meter advice

First, i wanted to know if i should go with a handheld ph meter, or one designed to stay in or on the system, as well as what is a good brand/ model to get in both versions.

also, is it possible to get a ph meter that also measures other critical areas, s/a water temp, nitrite, and nitrates... so what do you experienced people recommend?
