Aquaponic Gardening

A Community and Forum For Aquaponic Gardeners

I am very very new to Aquaponics. My boyfriend has 500 gal within for 4 tanks for fish. Last Winter it was too challenging to keep the water warm enough for Talapia to grow properly. With the lower temperatures we have decided to use gold fish through this Winter.  The greenhouse consists of 2 floating raft systems that are 80 square feet/1 ft depth.

We did grow tomatoes, peppers & basil over the Summer. I am looking forward to starting the seedling for a Winter growing season.

I'm south of you in Jax, Fl and will probably start fall seedlings in a month or so, broccoli, cabbage, kale, collards, etc.  Good luck.

Hi, I am also in South Carolina near Charleston. My system isn't quite up and running yet but have three smallish ebb/flow  and NFM systems. I have an established Koi pond. Ice storms kickin' our butts as far as getting anything done. Like to hear how your system is working for you, thanks.
