Aquaponic Gardening

A Community and Forum For Aquaponic Gardeners

I am sorry if this is a redundant post but I promise to read all the posts after getting some quick advice. And the forum search is not working...uuugggg.

I looked in the tank this morning and there are hundreds of baby fry swimming around. I was not trying to breed but 'life finds a way". I thought they were all super males (XYY or whatever) actually. I have moved lots of the fry to a small 2 gallon tank with a filter and air stone because it looks like their number are shrinking...guess they are being eaten by the others. I want to grow at least some of these guys out so I don't have to buy any new ones.  What is the minimum I need to know right now to keep them alive long enough to read more about babies and get setup for them....

Food? Temp? pH? Do they need mother? Water changes? etc.

Awesome...thanks!!! I got filter, air, ground up food, 35 gallon tank w/ aquaponic water etc. I'll let you know how it goes.

How do you know they are getting enough food? How many times a day would you feed them? I can't tell if they are even eating.
