I would just call fish and game, if your buying from a certified producer it shouldn't be a problem because they are certified parisite and disease free. The other problem you could run into (huge problem in CA) is if the fish you want are on the restricted list, but F&G will tell you that.

<div>Fish available will generally be between 1 to 4 inches except as noted. All fish will be bagged for transportation in clear plastic bags filled with pure oxygen and water. It is important that you transport your fish to their destination promptly. Bring a large ice chest or tote to contain the bags in your vehicle for transport.</div>
